Relaxing on the River
It's boundless beauty at Black River Wilderness Park centered on 180 acres within the Chippewas of Rama First Nation lands, bordered by Simcoe County Road 169 and the gently curving Black River. The Park opens the Friday of the Victoria Day weekend offering day use, tent camping, rustic cabins, heated yurts, RV Sites and island Tipis, with the close of the season on the Thanksgiving weekend. The Black River is a paddler's paradise where the gentle sound of oars in the water echoes years past and predicts those to come. To enjoy furry, feathered and flightless friends visit Black River Wilderness Park.

Greeting and Gaming at Rama's Gathering Place
Nestled among 2,500 acres of wood and wetland along the jewel-blue waters of Lake Couchiching, the Chippewas of Rama First Nation (Rama) historically welcomed travellers journeying to trade, seeking counsel or medicines and to join meetings of great import.
Modern-day Rama community member George St. Germain had a dream the Chippewas of Rama First Nation could one day be home to an exciting new kind of gathering place, a casino and resort, like the ones on tribal land in the United States.
St. Germain became visionary when, in 1994, the Chippewas of Rama First Nation were awarded the first-of-a-kind casino gaming project in Ontario. Today, Casino Rama retains its place as a uniquely superior gaming, dining, entertainment and resort complex, offering 292 luxury suites and serene spa services.

Homestead and Homestyle; Then and Now
From the late 1800s when the McBain family, they of 11 children, first offered kind warmth and hospitality to folks en route to Longford Mills, to the modern-day management of the Downing family, Fern Resort is a premiere Ramara destination.
Famously known as ‘The Home of Rolls & Honey’ Fern Resort’s kitchen beckons guests with its rolls, made from one-time owner Jim Pettapiece’s recipe, plus honey from the same apiary he once tended. Visitors can’t help but sit and savour.

Time-Tested and True Today
Completed in the summer of 1979, the original Harbour Inn and Resort Club, was Canada's first, and Ontario's most successful timeshare ownership resort. Boasting private beach, canal cruising and indoor pool, the Inn of yesteryear is remembered as the only covered, year-round, heated tennis court in the region and oh, what fun it was!
Today’s Pier One remains the centre of community connection while offering family-friendly accommodation and vacation-your-way amenities.
From beachy sunbathing to city cycling, dockside dining, water biking, kayaking, lake and ice-fishing plus a mix of adult and family friendly events, Pier One is remarkably Ramara.
